Why Mongkol Money

What makes learning here feel different.

There are many ways to learn about money. This page explains honestly what sets our programmes apart, and why that matters for people in midlife.

At a Glance

Six reasons participants keep returning.

These are the qualities participants mention most often when they describe why Mongkol Money worked for them.

Expertise shaped for midlife

Our programmes are not adapted from material designed for twenty-somethings. They are built entirely around the financial questions that arise in the forties and fifties — income planning, growing savings, and thinking ahead to retirement.

A clear, three-stage path

Rather than a single course, Mongkol Money offers three connected programmes. You enter at the right level and move forward as your understanding develops — with no pressure to rush.

No products, no commissions

We do not sell financial products or receive referral fees. Our income comes solely from programme fees. That keeps our content independent and our advice focused entirely on learning.

Small groups by design

Sessions cap at ten participants so that nobody gets lost, everyone can ask questions, and the atmosphere stays calm and conversational. Larger groups would undermine what we do.

Thailand-specific content

We cover Thai banking structures, local saving and fund options, provident funds, and regulations that affect residents here — not generic international frameworks that may not apply.

Materials that stay current

Programme content is reviewed twice a year. Regulatory changes, updated fund structures, and new banking options are incorporated regularly, so participants receive up-to-date information.

In Depth

What each of these means in practice.

Professional Expertise

The Mongkol Money team brings more than fifteen years of combined experience in financial education, personal money management training, and adult learning. Our founder, Khun Arunee, has worked with participants ranging from teachers and civil servants to small business owners — all navigating the particular financial concerns of midlife.

  • Content reviewed by a licensed financial planner
  • Experience with diverse financial starting points
  • Adult learning methodology — not academic lecturing

What this looks like for you

You are guided by people who have sat with the same kinds of questions many times before. The language stays practical and grounded — because the team knows what actually matters to someone in their forties trying to feel more organised about money.

What this looks like for you

Each session builds naturally on the last. You will not be asked to absorb everything in one sitting. The pacing is intentional — designed to let ideas settle before new ones arrive, which is how adults actually learn.

Thoughtful Process

The structure of our programmes is not accidental. Each stage builds on the previous one, with materials, exercises, and conversations designed to move at the right pace for midlife learners. We avoid overloading sessions, and we revisit concepts when participants ask.

  • Sequenced learning — each session prepares for the next
  • Worksheets and exercises that make concepts concrete
  • Check-in conversations at programme midpoints

Participant Support

Before joining, during the programme, and after it ends, participants have access to the Mongkol Money team for practical questions. We respond to messages within one working day, and we are happy to clarify anything from session content.

  • Pre-enrolment conversation to choose the right programme
  • Response within one working day to all messages
  • Post-programme access to recorded content (60 days)

What this looks like for you

You will not be left wondering after a session ends. Questions are welcome — before, during, and after. If something was not clear, we want to know, and we will address it.

What this looks like for you

The fee covers everything included in the programme — no add-ons, no surprise costs. The entry-level programme at āļŋ4,400 is deliberately accessible, because we believe financial education should not itself be a financial obstacle.

Clear, Inclusive Pricing

Our programme fees are set to reflect the genuine costs of running small, well-supported groups — without pricing out people who need this kind of learning most. There are no separate charges for materials, printed guides, or follow-up access.

  • All materials included in the stated fee
  • No referral or product upsell after enrolment
  • Three price points to suit different stages

What Sets Us Apart

Things you will not easily find elsewhere.

The growing-plan structure

Our three-stage programme sequence — Planting, Tending, Maturing — is not just a naming convention. Each stage genuinely prepares participants for the next, building a foundation that makes later sessions more useful and more meaningful.

Printed materials worth keeping

Participants receive printed starter guides and planning journals that are designed to be used again after the programme ends — not filed away. They are practical tools, not handouts.

Independence we can document

We have never received a referral fee or commission from any bank, fund, or financial institution. That is documented in our operating principles and something we consider worth protecting carefully.

Sessions shaped by feedback

Every group completes a brief written reflection at programme end. These responses directly influence the next revision. The content today is better than it was two years ago because of what participants have shared honestly.
